St. Joseph Catholic Church Divine Mercy Chapel

The inspiration for The Divine Mercy Chapel for St. Joseph Church was the breathtaking design of the Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Di Nunzio Architecture envisioned a light-filled chapel that would provide the congregation with a more intimate place of worship for weddings, holidays and celebrations. The new chapel is situated next to the original historic church built by Polish immigrants who settled in the area in the late 1800s. Di Nunzio Architecture also designed the altar furniture, lectern and tabernacle stand. Designing a place of worship is one of the most challenging and rewarding undertakings for an architect because it is an outward expression of faith.
